Disneyland Park.
The Disneyland theme park, where millions of enthusiastic
guests come to partake in Disney's enchanted blend of past, present
and future lands/themes. Disneyland contains a total of eight exciting,
fun-filled lands for you and your family to explore and delight in.
View and participate in parades, rides, shows, character greetings,
shopping and fun dining.
- Main Street USA. This magnificent entrance, inspired
by Walt Disney's hometown in Missouri, that sets the theme for your
magical visit to California's most renown theme park. Travel back
in time to the days of the early 1900's as you wander down Main Street.
Experience riding in a vintage horseless carriage automobile, ride
on the Disney Railroad, listen to words of wisdom from the great
Abraham Lincoln and on you way out of this amazing land, be sure
to stop by a Victorian general store, the Emporium, to shop for a
memorable souvenir.
- Fantasyland. Filled with memorable Disney movie
characters, you will find this magical land located behind Sleeping
Beauty's castle. With nearly seventeen fairytale attractions to choose
from, children and adults of all ages are sure enjoy their favorite
Disney tales coming to life. Tour Sleeping Beauty's Castle, enjoy
rides depicting the characters from Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan,
Pinocchio, The Sword in the Stone, Mr. Toads wild ride, Snow White,
Dumbo the Flying Elephant and Matterhorn bobsleds. Shopping, dining
and character greeting opportunities abound in this charming themed
land.
- Tomorrowland. Participate in the futuristic fantasies
of Jules Verne, H. G. Wells, and Walt Disney. Experience the future
on amazing attractions like Disneyland Monorail and Railroad, Space
Mountain, Jedi Academy Training, Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, Buzz
Lightyear Astro Blaster, Jules Verne's Astro Orbitor or race your
car on the Autopia track. In the Innovations are you will receive
a look at innovations in the fields of transportation, home, entertainment,
health and sports and work/school with many interactive, educational
hands on activities. Take a food break and have a burger, tortilla
wrap or fried chicken with fries at the Tomorrowland Terrace or enjoy
pizza, salads or pasta cafeteria style at Redd Rocket's Pizza Port.
- New Orleans Square. Experience the sights and
sounds of New Orleans as you stroll along the square with sounds
of Dixieland and jazz music and uniquely New Orlean architecture
complete with verandahs and wrought ironwork. The two feature attractions
in this part of the park are Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted
Mansion. Climb aboard your pirate boat and sail through scenes from
the movies complete with the songs guaranteed to keep you humming;
Yo Ho Ho, A Pirates Life for Me and the famous words "dead men
tale no tales". Tour the Haunted Mansion from the movie, complete
with ghosts and ghouls and a ride on the "Doom Buggy".
When your ready to take a break from all the ride excitement tour
the French Quarter and relax with a mint julep while dining at the
Blue Bayou. Peruse through the shops offering unique gifts and mementos.
- Adventureland. The tropical, exotic jungle worlds
from Africa, Southeast Asia, Polynesia and the Middle East features
entertainment and attractions from several of Disney's all time favorites.
Here you can tour the jungle home of Tarzan's Treehouse, glide up
a jungle river on a cruise depicting the jungles of the Amazon rainforest
and African rivers filled with wild hippopotamus. Climb aboard the
troop transport on a wild ride, Indiana Jones style, through the
jungle as you go through Indiana's camp, past lava pools, across
a rickety bridge on an amazing ride called Indiana Jones Adventure,
Temple of the Forbidden Eye. Visit the exotic South Seas islands
as you enjoy the performance in the Enchanted Tiki Room. Experience
storms, music, birds, flowers and of course tiki poles on this delightful
attraction. Shops in this part of the park include Adventureland
Bazaar, Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost and South Seas Trader. Be
sure you take time to visit with Aladdin and Jasmine at Aladdin's
Oasis.
- Critter Country. If you are looking for a quiet,
shady place on a hot summer day- then the lands of Critter Country
are for you. There are three main attractions found in this section
of the park and they consist of an enchanting ride while searching
for honey in the Hundred Acre Woods on The Many Adventures of Winnie
Pooh; paddle around Tom Sawyer's Island on the Davy Crockett's Explorer
Canoes on a real canoe ride; on Splash Mountain you will journey
on a mile long log flume ride through the bayou, swamps and woods
of the south all the while view around 15 scenes from the movie "Song
of the South". Characters you can meet and greet in this part
of the part are the characters from Winnie the Pooh. Shop for Winnie
the Pooh and Critter Country souvenirs at either Briar Patch or Pooh
Corner. Pick up pictures of your wild ride down Splash Mountain at
Professor Barnaby Owl's Photographic Art Studio.
- Frontierland. Visit America's past in a town from
the Old-west, ride on a run-a-way train, enjoy an old west stage
show or ride on a riverboat cruise all while watching for characters
from the Toy Story films. Tour Tom & Huck's Treehouse and Smugglers
Cove while watching out for pirates at Pirates Lair on Tom Sawyer
Island; of course the only way you can reach this amazing island
is to hitch a ride on Rafts to Tom Sawyer Island ride. Another fun,
relaxing ride is the Mark Twain Riverboat which takes guests on a
tour of Rivers of America and around Tom Sawyer Island on a steam
powered paddlewheel boat. Big Thunder Ranch is full of good old fashioned
fun, especially for youngsters having horses, goats , sheep, cows
and a turkey to feed and interact with. Make crafts at an authentic
log cabin where you can also have your picture taken with Santa during
the Christmas season. For those who want a thrilling, hold on to
the seat of your pants ride- the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad that
take you through tunnels and caverns on a ride filled with twists
and turns that includes earthquakes, bats and landslides.
- Mickey's Toontown. This fanciful land is created
with the youngest guests at heart, but it's attention to detail will
entertain the adults. Entertaining activities for the youngsters
includes climbing Chip n' Dale's treehouse, riding a kid-sized roller
coaster and playing in Donald's boat. This whimsical town has everything,
the brightly colored buildings include a Town Hall, Post Office,
gas station, fire house and police station as well the homes of Mickey
and Minnie Mouse. Kids can burn off energy at Goofy's Playhouse which
includes slides and outdoor play equipment for them to play on. Meet
Mickey at his own house and right next door is Minnie's house where
you can meet and visit with her while you enjoy her homes delightful
decor. If shopping is for you then a stop at the warehouse themed
Gag Factory is a must see for clothing, toys and other souvenirs.
There are four places to grab a bite to eat in Mickey's Toontown;
Clarabells offers sandwiches, salads and ice cream; Daisy's Dinner
for pizza, salads and beverages; Pluto's Dog House specializes in
hot dogs and beverages and Toon up Treats offers fresh fruit and
snacks.
